Historical Photoshoot Kalamazoo Circuit Courtroom C

Hills At Law, P.C. sponsors a historic photoshoot of the 3rd Kalamazoo County Courthouse. There are historic photographs of the Circuit Courtrooms with judges and attorneys in the first 2 Courthouses in Kalamazoo County. Hills At Law, P.C. didn’t want to miss the opportunity to continue this tradition as we transition into the 4th Kalamazoo County Courthouse.

For the presentation on September 22nd, 2023 Mike Hills traveled to WMU’s archives where he discovered a library/archives that reminded him of Indiana Jones. Lynn Houghton, WMU’s Regional History Curator, brought out boxes of photographs of our current Courthouse located at 227 West Michigan. Mike put on the white gloves and picked out 116 photos taken during construction of Kalamazoo’s 3rd County Courthouse in 1936. Those photographs are included below.
